A. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website calligris.com and any services provided by Calligris, a calligraphy and hand lettering studio operating from 72 Gameat Al Dewal Al Arabeya, Ad Doqi, Dokki, Giza Governorate 12411, Egypt.

By accessing this website or engaging with any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use this website or our services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including the Egyptian Civil Code and applicable consumer protection legislation.

B. Description of Services

Calligris provides calligraphy and hand lettering services, including custom commissions for wedding invitations, certificates, wall art, event materials, and personal pieces. We also operate a workshop program offering instruction in Arabic and contemporary calligraphy scripts.

This website is informational. It describes our services, presents portfolio examples, and provides a means of contact. The website does not constitute an offer to contract. A service agreement is formed only upon explicit written confirmation from Calligris following discussion of project details.

We reserve the right to decline any commission or workshop registration at our discretion.

C. Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of this website or its infrastructure. Introduce malicious code, viruses, or any material that is harmful or disruptive. Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from this website without written permission. Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us through the website.

All content on this website, including text, images, and design elements, is the property of Calligris unless otherwise stated and is protected under applicable Egyptian intellectual property law. Reproduction without permission is not permitted.

D. Commission Agreements

When you commission work from Calligris, the following conditions apply:

Scope: The scope of a commission is defined by written agreement between you and Calligris prior to work commencing. Changes to scope after work has begun may affect the timeline and cost, which will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

Accuracy of information: You are responsible for the accuracy of all text, names, dates, and other information you provide for inclusion in a commissioned piece. Calligris is not responsible for errors in information you supply.

Revisions: The number of revision rounds included in a commission is stated in the written quote. Revisions beyond those included may be subject to additional charges.

Cancellation: If you cancel a commission after work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If Calligris is unable to fulfill a confirmed commission, any deposit paid will be returned in full.

Delivery: Physical delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by courier service conditions. Calligris is not liable for delays caused by third-party courier services once a piece has been dispatched.

E. Payment

Payment terms are stated in the written quote for each commission. A deposit is required before work begins. The balance is due upon completion, prior to dispatch or collection.

Workshop fees are payable in full to confirm your place. Fee details are provided when sessions are announced.

Calligris does not store payment card details. Payment methods accepted are communicated directly to clients.

F. Intellectual Property

All calligraphic work created by Calligris remains the intellectual property of Calligris unless explicitly transferred in writing. Upon full payment for a commission, you receive a license to use the commissioned piece for the personal or commercial purpose described in the commission brief.

Calligris retains the right to photograph and display completed work in its portfolio, on its website, and in promotional materials, unless you have specifically requested otherwise in writing prior to commission confirmation.

You may not reproduce, sell, or sublicense a commissioned piece beyond the agreed purpose without written consent from Calligris.

G. Workshop Terms

Workshop participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward other participants and studio staff. Calligris reserves the right to remove any participant from a session for disruptive behavior without refund.

Work created during workshops remains the property of the participant who created it. Calligris may photograph workshop sessions for portfolio and promotional purposes; participants who object should notify us before the session begins.

Workshop fees are non-refundable within 48 hours of a session. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a session may be credited toward a future session at Calligris's discretion.

Calligris is not liable for personal property brought to the studio by participants.

H. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Egyptian law, Calligris's liability for any claim arising from use of this website or our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in connection with which the claim arises.

Calligris is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. The website is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

I. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Calligris harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of this website in violation of these Terms, or from any content or information you provide to us that infringes the rights of a third party.

J. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Giza Governorate, Egypt.

K. Modifications
