Workshops & Community

Learn. Create. Connect.

Calligris is more than a studio that takes commissions. It is a place where people come to learn a craft, slow down, and make something with their hands. Our workshops are open to everyone.

About Our Workshops

What Happens in a Session

Each workshop takes place in our Dokki studio, a calm space set up specifically for learning calligraphy. Sessions run in small groups so that everyone gets individual attention from the instructor.

We start with the basics every time, even in intermediate sessions, because good foundations matter. You will spend time understanding the tools, the ink, and how letterforms are constructed before moving on to full words and compositions.

By the end of a session, you leave with your practice work, a clearer understanding of the script covered, and a sense of what to practice next. No experience is assumed at any level.

More Than a Workshop

Open Practice Sessions

Past workshop participants are invited to return for informal open practice evenings. These are unstructured sessions where you bring your tools and work on whatever you are developing. A good way to keep practicing in a supportive environment.

Private Group Workshops

We arrange private workshops for groups, including corporate team activities, school groups, and private gatherings. These are booked separately from the public schedule and can be adapted to your group's interests and experience level.

Participant Showcases

Periodically, we exhibit work created by workshop participants in the studio space. These are informal displays, not competitive exhibitions. If you have attended a session and produced a piece you are proud of, we would love to show it.
